JM commited suicide in Paris. He had penile cancer, that’s why he bought the grave. He created a myth – his myth. Just a man, who wrote a few poems, sang a few songs and lived to excess through drink, drugs and sex.

Ps . There is one man that looks like Jim and he is called Dr. Jim Morrison.
He even has the same moles on his face at the right places.

This is really starting to annoy me now – how can ANYONE beleive that this ‘cowboy’ guy is Jim Morrison?! It’s truly laughable! You don’t have to be a genius to see that there’s no WAY this guy is him – all you have to do is look at his facial features. I’m sorry – that morphing thing does nothing to sway me – you can quite convincingly morph a human face to a cat’s if you’re so inclined these days…..First, the browline is all wrong – the cowboy has arched (almost pointed) eyebrows – Jim’s were much flatter, and would have drooped more as he aged. The cowboy’s nose is much more bulbous than Jim’s was, and his nostrils are flared (Jim’s weren’t). And the mouth isn’t a match, either – Jim had a (fairly unusual), very pretty, cupid’s bow-type top lip, which this guy does not. And Jim’s mouth was not downturned, like this guy.
I would not normally take the time to post anything on the internet, but this particular claim really annoys me.

I was working at a small weekly paper in Lakeview, OR around 1995 when the story of Jim living and working on a ranch in Eastern Oregon was broken. My paper was the first to publish on it, although the perpetrators of it all had already posted a web site making these claims. We interviewed the ranch owners and the person purporting to be Jim rejected all requests for an interview. They claimed that they had 14 facial points mapped to photos of Jim through forensic science and only 5 were needed for a positive identification by law. It must be said that the people who were making these claims had absolutely zero credibility and were in fact little more than survivalists. I was working in the office on a Saturday by myself when the phone rang. I picked up and Ray Manzarek identified himself and asked me about the story we had published. He was upset. He let me know that his comments and conversation were not for publication and I agreed to keep it off the record. I took no notes. Having done as much research on this subject as possible, I concluded that these claims are bogus and the people making them were just seeking attention. Case closed. I talked to Ray in person after a performance in Boise in 2004. Whether or not Jim’s death was faked is irrelevant as the music of the Doors lives on.

jim died…lets leave it at that…you know the last thing jim would be is a cowboy…seriously…as an artist thats the last thing i would do…its funny how people cannot let musicians rest in peace…next thing they’ll be running after jimmy “the rev” Sullivan’s death and call that fake…-_-
