Contrary to popular belief not all scientist support the global warming theory. Al Gore (known for his claim that he took the initiative to create the internet, yeah right!) now panics the world and puts forward “global warming” as the common enemy. Much of the claims in his movie (an inconvenient truth) have already been debunked. In a previous article I tried to find the real reasons for putting forward a common enemy. Now a russian journalist warns us for a cold spell, it’s a good read. This is based on the solar activity cycles. It is predicted to start around 2012 and the minimum will be reached around 2041. So besides stocking sunscreen factor 20 I will also hold on to my winter clothing for now.

Er is weer nieuws uit de bananenrepubliek Nederland. Vol trots heeft President Balkenende het nieuwe logo getoond waarvan alle overheidsorganisaties gebruik gaan maken. Het logo staat rechts en is voor de gelegenheid voorzien van een banaantje dat door de trotse leeuw als een vaandel gedragen wordt. Doel van het nieuwe logo: de burger moet het gevoel krijgen met één instantie te communiceren in plaats van de wir war aan schimmige organisaties waar je als onwetende burger mee te maken hebt. Er is overal een loket voor behalve voor het vinden van het juiste loket.

There are competitions that I don’t want to enter nor win, nonetheless the results are in. The votes have been counted & recounted. Named in honor of Charles Darwin, the father of evolution, the Darwin Awards commemorate those who improve our gene pool by removing themselves from it.

De allerbeste wensen voor 2008. Dat het een mooi jaar mag worden! Maar dat kunt u hieronder gewoon nalezen want hier is weliswaar de eerste, maar nu al een traditie: de nieuwjaars horoscoop. Wat ik al zei: dat het een mooi jaar mag worden. De gevoelige en bijgelovige zieltjes onder ons kunnen deze horoscoop maar beter mijden… niet huilies doen, u was gewaarschuwd.
