Leaked: 2010 Hyundai Coupé/Tiburon

Disappointing update: this is a coupe based on the genesis sedan Hyundai offers in the USA. This model will not come to Europe. A new Coupé/Tiburon will be released next year according to Hyundai.

This week unofficial photo’s of the 2010 Hyundai Coupe/Tiburon successor were leaked onto the net. In Europe Hyundai named the car ‘coupe’. In the USA Hyundai used the name ‘Tiburon’. I’ve had the pleasure of driving the 19966 and 2000 models of the Hyundai Coupe. The new car will probably have the same name in the USA and Europe: Genesis.     I really liked the 1996 version of the car. The 2000 version (or as I like to call it, the one with the million headlights) not so much.

    This one looks very cool again!You should have never totalled your ’96!

    Yeah, that was one little accident that was best avoided. I couldn’t get my hands on the ’96 version anymore, the 2000 facelift (with the zillion headlights) was the only model available.

    Pieneke houdt meer van Italiaans sport-geweld.
    Van deze Huyndai vindt ze de neus wat plomp. Zie foto’s 4 en 7.

    Pieneke heeft wel gelijk. Ik wil de auto wel eerst in het echt zien. Het zou zo maar tegen kunnen vallen. Hoewel: voor iemand als ik, die met 10 lampen in de neus van een auto heeft rondgereden, is geen enkele neus meer plomp :-D

    Ja, welgeteld 2 lampen aan de voorkant… Das een verbetering van een whopping 80%!! (mistlampen niet meegerekend, want die zullen wel niet standaard in de pauper lease versie zitten he)

    Bij de huidige Hyundai Coupé heb je qua accessoires maar één uitvoering. Bij de modellen die ik gereden heb had je een kale versie en een luxe versie. Je mòest de “luxe” versie wel nemen omdat je voor een relatief kleine meerprijs enorm veel extra’s krijgt.

    Ik denk dat ze van deze nieuwe ook geen kale versie meer brengen.

    Hieronder het overzicht van “opties” op de drie leverbare modellen. Bij alle drie de modellen krijg je de 15 “opties”.
