I’ve been Rickrolled (twice now)
So far I ignored Rickrolling, you know the phenomenon, instead of watching something you expect you suddenly see Rick Astley appear with his “never gonna give you up” shit-tune. Most of the Rickrolling that is going on is not funny since they just link to the music video on YouTube. I don’t consider that to be funny. Today my buddy Emiel showed me that Rickrolls can be cool. Here is an excellent example. It’s a mod for doom. Rickroll me once, shame on you, Rickroll me twice shame on me. In this case I Rickrolled myself to death.

Oh no. And each time we mention Rick Astley or we link to a Rick Astley resource the google ad-sense algorithm will make more relevant matches on Rick Astley. And it doesn’t matter if you say anything good about Rick Astley or if you mention Rick Astley in a bad way. It is all about mentioning Rick Astley and linking Rick Astley.
So we really have to stop talking about Rick Astley and stop linking to Rick Astley stuff or else this blog will be infested with Rick Astley ads. So please, forget about Rick Astley, stop mentioning Rick Astley’s name (which is Rick Astley) and please don’t mention Rick Astley in combination with ringtones. So no ringtones, no Rick Astley and definitely don’t mention ringtones.
Also stop downloading music from Rick Astley. Don’t download any of the Rick Astley songs. I know Rick Astley performed a lot of songs. You can download Rick Astley tracks and you can even download Rick Astley albums. There are also plenty videos from Rick Astley. Like videoclips from Rick Astley songs. Also remember to never mention that you are a Rick Astley fan. Because there is a Rick Astley fanclub as well. You don’t want to join the Rick Astley fanclub now, do you?
