iPhone Kindle e-book software

Today I talked about how cool it would be if you could have all your books on an ebook reader with my friends Karel and Bas. It’s definitely something that we would love to have. Amazon just released the Kindle 2 ebook reader. However that would require you to carry around another device. But if you are the lucky owner of an Apple iPhone you can get the Kindle reader for free on your iPhone. Matthew Miller wrote a nice article on this and has some beautiful screenshots. This seems pretty useable but unfortunately the iPhone will drain its power while on a Kindle only a page change requires power. The airstrip at St. Maarten (SXM) is known for it’s dangerous approach. On YouTube you can find many examples of this. However this video is the most bizarre landing I’ve seen. This is really.. really… really close.

Square Root Day

Oh no… today is 03/03/09 and today is much anticipated by many obsessed math-fans. It’s Square Root Day. For those who don’t know: 3 x 3 = 9 (32=9). This so utterly useless, boring and stupid that I had to mention it. You can read all about it here… and here’s a small quote so you know you won’t miss anything by completely ignoring this topic.
