Het nummer “End of the night” van The Doors is gebaseerd op het gedicht “Auguries Of Innocence” van William Blake en het boek “Voyage au bout de la nuit” van Louis-Ferdinand Céline. Het hoopgevende van het eind van de duisternis en het gloren van nieuw licht.
