Bad news for MicroSoft fanboys

Oops, if this is true this may be a killing blow to all of you MicroSoft fanboys out there. According to Computer World a tech-worker on the oilrig crashing windows systems may be part of the problem that eventually let to the spilling of oil. And we’re not talking a little Dr.Watson, an occasional “general exception”… we’re talking about a full-blown BSOD (blue screen of death). Well maybe we learn a little lesson here. Never use a computer system for critical mission computing that can’t even keep itself alive for longer than half an hour… If this doesn’t teach us then maybe this will… one day…

Java is in the capable hands of Oralce

Ever since Oralce acquired Sun Microsystems people were worried over the future of Java. Well we didn’t have to panic since Sun pretty much made the JDK (Java Development Kit) open source already. However Sun was actively developing and improving Java. People were not so sure that Oralce would have the same intentions. This morning I got another Java Developer Newsletter and was immediately comforted that Java is in the reliable, capable and caring hands of Oralce. Long live Oralce! Horalce! Horalce!

Multiple choice exams

The good thing about multiple choice is that you always stand a chance even when you didn’t prepare for your exam. Random answers will give a good chance to pass anyway. If going random is too tiresome you can always fill it out like this:
