Eucalyptus drive emergency
Friday, February 27th, 2009An idea for a short story popped into my head. Someone driving a car accidentally hits a pedestrian at some remote location. He calls the police to report the accident and call for help for the badly injured pedestrian. The emergency operator wants to know the exact location of the accident but the driver has no clue where he is so hangs up. He drags the injured pedestrian into his car, drives to main street unloads the deceased pedestrian and calls the emergency service again this time able to pinpoint the exact location…
Stupid idea? Yeah I thought so as well.. so I searched the internet to see if someone already thought of this before I did. Guess what? It’s a little different though. A man calls the emergency service because his wife is attacked by a warthog real bad. The 911 guy wants to know the address.
“Yeah, we’re at 1825 Eucalyptus drive…”
“Can you spell that for me, sir?”
“Eeehhhmmm…. I’m gonna drag her on over to oakstreet and you can pick her up there…”
