Palindroom dag: 01-02-2010

Monday, February 1st, 2010

PacMan car… W00T!!

Sunday, November 8th, 2009

Oh My Funny Goodness… take a look at this. As a huge PacMan fan I love everything that has the friendly yellow round gobbler on it… but to be honest… this is a “little” over the top. Still… it’s cool…

More pictures can be found at Zu Zu Top. What? You want to play PacMan now? Here you go!

Klimaatverandering FUD

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

Sunday, August 23rd, 2009

Oh this is nice. My good friend Jos provided me the link below. Microsoft’s attempt at an internet search engine is called Bing. They registered a lot of bing.<tld> domains.. but not all… not all… Here’s Bing Liechtenstein. Thanks Jos for providing this link.

I told you… I haven’t been drinking. Pass me the breathalyzer and I will prove it…

Great joke when you are sober and pulled over for an alcohol-check.

Another order in a song @ Taco Bell

Friday, May 22nd, 2009

Okay here’s a really funny video. Sure you’ve seen all the raps to order at drive-thru fast-food joints… But these guys do it in a folk song…. and… they get p0wn3d… BIG TIME!!

Super Mario tune on laser cutter

Sunday, April 19th, 2009

Oh this is very nice. I just came across this geek hack that plays the Super Mario tune using the stepper motor of a laser cutter. Now they actually use both axis. One for the tune the other for the bass parts. A truly amazing hack found through hackday.com. Even the ruby source code is available through the link.

Gores’ awareness solves problems

Sunday, April 19th, 2009

Now here is a piece of remarkable news: Antarctic ice is growing on some parts and not melting. And I thought the Al Gore “inconvenient truth” ‘awareness’ program was just a load of bullshit. But now that the ice is growing around Antarctica I have to confess that Gore at least created some awareness amongst the ice itself. The Antarctic ice clearly got the message and now stops melting and is even recruiting happy little crystallized friends.

Or could this have anything to do with the all time low in solar activity? Hell no! What am I talking about? That is not true because Al Gore says so. My mistake. Way to go Al Gore! Now do a campaign on the financial crisis… How about “an expensive truth”? The vaporized money will come to its senses and will materialize again. Go for it man! You have my full support for you speak the truth and nothing but your convenient truth.

Fall into a blackhole

Friday, April 3rd, 2009

Oh this is nice. A small video of a simulation what you would see if you were falling into a blackhole… well until you hit the singularity itself.. that is still a mystery. But if you happen to fall into a blackhole please drop a line and tell me what happens next…

The future of creativity

Thursday, March 12th, 2009

This seems to be the future of creativity. Kutiman used multiple YouTube video’s of people playing instruments to create a beautiful mix. This is really amazing…

A nice article on this video can be found here. More video’s can be found on Kutiman’s page.

Dangerous landing St. Maarten

Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009

The airstrip at St. Maarten (SXM) is known for it’s dangerous approach. On YouTube you can find many examples of this. However this video is the most bizarre landing I’ve seen. This is really.. really… really close.

Square Root Day

Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009

Oh no… today is 03/03/09 and today is much anticipated by many obsessed math-fans. It’s Square Root Day. For those who don’t know: 3 x 3 = 9 (32=9). This so utterly useless, boring and stupid that I had to mention it. You can read all about it here… and here’s a small quote so you know you won’t miss anything by completely ignoring this topic.

“These days are like calendar comets, you wait and wait and wait for them, then they brighten up your day — and poof — they’re gone,” said Ron Gordon, a Redwood City teacher who started a contest meant to get people excited about the event.

3 applications ought to be enough for anyone

Monday, February 9th, 2009

Mayday mayday… we’re going down.. we’re going down. Finally when Microsoft had an OS that actually could run more than one application at once they now use that to extort some money out of you. The Windows 7 Starter Edition will not allow you to run more than three applications at the same time (virus scanners etc. not included). Whahahahaha what is wrong with those people from Redmond?

Surely this will also raise the price of netbooks once they are preinstalled with Windows 7. I thought that Vista sucks but this is really crap. How many more arguments do you need to start using Unix? Now please be aware that Microsoft claims the average user uses only two applications at the same time. Yeah right. I don’t know about you but during the day I’ll have around 10 to 15 applications open. Tssss… I wonder what’s next. Pay extra for using multiple USB storage sticks? Pay up when you connect a new mouse? This is pathetic.
