Poeh poeh.. de kerstdagen liggen achter ons maar oh oh oh… we kunnen terugkijken op een zeer geslaagde en gezellige Kerst. Dat mag ook wel want we hebben ons extra uitgesloofd dit jaar. Twee dagen gasten over de vloer, gezelligheid en heerlijk gegeten. Zo mag het altijd zijn met Kerst en zo mag het altijd Kerst zijn… 
Hier het menu van de eerste kerstdag:
Kom ik gisteravond thuis… staat de kerstboom al prachtig opgetuigd in de kamer. Wegens drukte deze feestmaand is een vriendin over om alvast Kerst te vieren deze week. Dus gisteren alweer de eerste Kerstcadeau’s dit jaar geopend. Gezellige boel.
Vanmorgen stond ook de kerstboom op het werk. Ook maar meteen een plaatje van geschoten:
Due to the global warming we’ve had snow all week in Holland. Massive traffic jams, busses not driving, trains not running… yeee for global warming. I can’t wait until it finally kicks in. Until that time I can enjoy the beautiful snowy landscapes and ice sculptures. I always liked the Calvin cartoons in which Calvin creates violent snowmen scenes. Here’s an example:

Now here’s a really amusing performance of ‘the twelve days of Christmas’ by Straight no Chaser. Have the patience to watch it all as it gets funny from about 1:20.
Okay, I really can’t help this. I’m sorry. It’s just that, to me, it’s not Christmas when I didn’t get to hear the following German Christmas song. It’s really an evergreen in Germany. Every year Rolf Zuckowski performs this song on German television. I really think Rolf Zuckowski can make a living out of this song just as Alice Cooper can with his summer classic “school’s out”. Anyway. If you don’t like this song don’t worry, it’s not you, it’s me. I know it is cheesy, the children are irritating and all… still I need to hear this every year. Just to resynchronize my internal clock.
Now this gets me all excited. I’m a big PacMan fan. The best game ever. Well, I like Ms. PacMan better. Anyway, this has to be the ultimate Christmas decoration as far as I’m concerned. Wish I had this baby right here in my front yard. Oh no, if I could have one wish, make that an original PacMan cabinet right here in my livingroom…. ah anyway. Enjoy the video.
